Road Trip

A couple of weeks ago we went to Eastern Idaho for my nephew Zerik's baby blessing. This was our first family trip in our van. I must say I can't believe how much easier traveling is in a van compared to a car. It was quite lovely! Here is a picture of the girls right after we pulled out of the driveway for our trip.

We stayed in a hotel in Pocatello and Sam took the girls swimming in the pool. We accidentally made the mistake of telling the girls that they were going to get to go swimming at the pool before we left on our trip. The anticipation was almost too much for my sweet Hannah. She thought that our car trip was never going to end! Thankfully it did end and the girls were able to swim with their daddy and with some of their cousins, Kristen, Courtney, Connor, and Koty. They all had a great time!

Courtney the fish!

Kristen showing off those cute dimples!
Sorry girls, Connor is only 15 he can't date quite yet!
Koty's not quite sixteen yet either. He had a cast on so he didn't get to do much in the way of swimming but he was still full of smiles!
My fabulous mommy watching the kids at the pool!
My awesome sister Christie hanging with me at the pool!

After we went swimming we got together with my brother Jeremy, his wife Samee and there three boys and with my mom and my sister Christie and went to dinner. We were able to meet Christie's boyfriend Troy and had a great time visiting together. I also got to hold my new nephew Zerik. I think that holding a newborn is like holding a little piece of heaven. After dinner we invited everybody back to our hotel room so that we could keep on visiting and so that Sam could watch a soccer game. Here are some pictures that I took in the hotel room.
Proud papa Jeremy with his new son Zerik!
Wonderful Big brother Jaiten loving his little bro.

The next day we went to church to see little Zerik get blessed. Jeremy even got his name right! He has called Zerik, Zyker, Jerik and even Zachary but thankfully he got his name right for the blessing:o)! All in all we had a great weekend. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with family. We had a snow storm and then a wind storm that we had to drive home in but it was worth it.

Hannah's Brithday

My Hannah is now 5 years old. She had her birthday at the end of February but the pictures were barely loaded to the computer yesterday so I haven't blogged about it yet. Hannah had a wonderful birthday with a celebration at Chuck E. Cheese and also her first "friends" birthday party! She was so excited to have her friends come and celebrate with her. Originally she was going to have her friends party on her birthday but then all but two of the twelve kids couldn't come because they were sick so we postponed it a week and were able to get all of the kids but one to come! Hannah told me last night (yes this was a month after her party) that she was so glad that she postponed her party a week so that she could have more of her friends there.

Hannah is so excited to be 5. She is ecstatic to start Kindergarten. She practices having homework and told me that she is trying really hard to be good in preschool and remember to raise her hand! She just can't wait to be "a school girl". Those are her own words. She begins sentences all the time with, "When I'm a school girl..." She is growing up so fast and is such a sweetheart. I'm so grateful to be blessed to have my sweet Hannah.
