Memorial Day Fun

We had some fun on the greenbelt on Monday. Here's Sam looking Hot! :o)

Hannah came and kept me company on my comfy log long enough to take a couple of pictures. Elise would have none of it! She wanted to keep throwing rocks not pose for pictures!

As you can see by the photos, my girls love going down to the river. They love throwing rocks in the water and feeding peanuts to the squirrels. We were going to feed the geese and ducks at the park too but when we got there, we saw about 50 geese all together and as soon as they saw our bread (still in the bag) they started coming after us. It was just a little too much like "The Birds" so we high tailed it out of there. Sam said he could feel his papa bear coming out in him because he wanted to protect his girls from all of the geese. Hannah started crying at the look of all of the "ferocious" birds seeking there next meal. For a minute I couldn't tell whether they wanted to eat the bread or us! We decided not to take our chances. So we left the park and went over to the river. After we were done throwing rocks we let our girls just run for a while and they loved that! Then as we were leaving we noticed a tree next to the parking lot that was full of little birds. As we were taking a look at all the birds poor little Elise took a spill and landed on her face on the asphalt next to the tree. She got a bloody fat lip out of the deal but was most disturbed over her dirty fingers from the incident. As soon as she was cleaned up she was fine though! After the green belt, we took the kids to lunch at P.F. Changs (Yum). I had a coupon for free lettuce wraps (here's a link if your interested) and they were as delicious as ever. The girls even ate with chopsticks! They loved it there! All in all, it was a great day!

The date is set!

Unless this little girl decides to debut earlier than I have planned, the official day of her arrival will be June 3rd! I'm scheduled to be induced at 7 am and I can't wait. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything is going great. I've been having contractions so that should help the process. I'm so excited to meet this new little one. I can't wait to see what she looks like and to look at her tiny little fingers and toes! Can you tell I'm just a little bit excited!

Names, anyone?

It's crunch time and we still don't have a name for this little girl of ours. She should be making her debut in about 10 days and we are no nearer to having a name for her now than we were three months ago. So I am throwing it out to all of you fellow bloggers and readers. What do you think we should name our new baby? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have hit a creative wall and could use any help I can get!

Princess Elise was also in need of a crown, so with a little assistance from her mother, she set about creating her own beautiful crown. The stunning results can be seen here!

Looking for a great book to read?

Well look no further! A friend and neighbor of mine just had her first book published and it is fantastic. I have read the prologue and the first chapter and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the book. The name of the book is Alvor. It is written by Laura Bingham.
