When we went on our trip to Disney Land we were lucky enough to also get to go and visit Sam's sister Marie. Marie lives minutes away from the Hollywood sign. It was so fun to see where she lives and to get to spend time with her. She had a nice dinner waiting for us when we got there which we ate on the terrace at her apartment. The terrace has a beautiful view of downtown L.A. and the Hollywood hills.

After dinner we walked a few blocks over to the Hollywood walk of fame. Hannah and Elise got new purses from Auntie 'Rie and they were so excited to get to be Hollywood girls! They walked along carrying there brightly colored purses and looking at all of the people.


Hannah wanted to see how much her feet had to grow to be the same size as the one and only Donald Duck's.

We enjoyed seeing all of the different stars. Here are Sam, Ava, and me posing in front of one my favorite actors.

We also saw Spiderman, Yoda, and Superman. These actors/street performers dress up as different characters and then allow people to have their picture taken with the characters for tips. (Note that we do not have any pictures posted of the said characters). The guy that was dressed as Superman seemed particularly intense. He stood with his arms folded, at this certain place on the sidewalk above a vent that had air blowing through it. The air would strategically make his cape billow up behind him. He did not break character once the whole time we saw him. Near where Superman was standing, there is this huge outdoor mall with all kinds of stores that don't even exist in Idaho. There are also these huge elephant statues that you have probably seen on the Academy awards, which makes sense, since the Kodak theater was just down the street.

While we were at this mall we went to a little shop that sells all kinds of cream puffs! Talk about deliciousness! It was a great way to spend the evening especially since we got to do so with our family. Thanks Marie, for making us feel welcome and letting us visit. And good luck on your upcoming film. We will be watching Titanic 2 on the Syfy channel in August.
